Real Living Wage

The ethos behind the real ‘Living Wage’ wage is simple: people should be paid enough to live decently, and cope with the increasing cost of living. The real Living Wage, currently £12.00 per hour, is paid by over 14,000 business across the UK, and Brooksbank Centre & Services is proud to be among them.

The real Living Wage is designed to prevent in-work poverty, ensuring workers are not exploited through low wages. As a charity that exists to reduce poverty and inequalities in Dundee, we choose to lead by example, paying all of our staff a wage that supports their living costs adequately. We will continue to use our voice to promote compassionate change across the city and hope to see many more organisations join us in paying their staff fairly, not just legally.
