BROOKSBANK DEBT & BENEFIT ADVICE SERVICE
Coping with debts, benefit or money problems can be extremely difficult, but it is important to seek advice as soon as you can. Our accredited team of money advisers provide free and impartial advice to those living in Dundee and can:
· Advise you on benefit entitlements and help you with claim forms
· Write letters on your behalf to resolve debt/benefit disputes
· Negotiate with your creditors to reduce your debt repayments in order to help you regain control of your finances.
· Provide you with advice, information and a referral to a Credit Union for low cost loans and savings accounts
· When you have an emergency, refer you to a foodbank and/or help you apply to the Scottish Welfare Fund.
· Refer you for advice and assistance on matters relating to legal issues, energy problems, child home safety, appeal representation and more.
Appointments can be made to see a money adviser at our accessible centre. Appointments are usually arranged between 9.30am and 4pm but if you’re in work or have other commitments, please let us know and we will be able to offer you an appointment after 5pm.
We can also arrange appointments by telephone or video consultation.
