What We Do

BROOKSBANK CENTRE AND SERVICES

Brooksbank Centre & Services has been operating as an independent charity since 2008, with the aim of delivering citywide services, strengthening communities and alleviating poverty in Dundee. The charity operates from our Centre in Mid Craigie, serving the needs of the local community (primarily Mid Craigie and Linlathen).

The centre enables public access to the following community services:

Free Debt & Benefit Advice Service

Child Safety Equipment Scheme for Low Income Households

Community Café with

Free Meals on Mondays and Wednesday

12.30pm - 3.30pm, last orders 3pm

4.30pm - 6.30pm, last orders 6pm

Free Internet Access

Access to Free Legal Advice

Various Activity Groups

Low cost room/hall hire for meetings or parties etc.

Brooksbank Centre & Services aim to reduce the effects of poverty and social inequalities in the communities of Mid Craigie, Linlathen and other areas within Dundee by:

·        Providing debt, benefit and other money advice services in order to reduce the number of low income households

·        Sustaining a community centre for the benefits of local residents and increasing local resident satisfaction with the quality of, and access to, services and facilities

·         Reducing the number of accidents and improving personal safety for households where there are young children by providing home safety equipment
